As we enter the summer holidays please keep
a check on the website tdichurches.co.uk for
up to date information. It was good to see so many of you in the High Street on Charter Fair Day where probably over 300 children (and a few adults) had a go at the free skittles. About 150 tracts were handed out explaining why we have been following Jesus at St James Church in Thrapston for over 800 years. Many people took advantage of the quiet space to sit in church and enjoy a cuppa and cake surrounded by flowers.
Praise and Play broke up for the summer on Monday 18th July and we send our love and prayers to the children who are going to big school in September. JAMES Club and the Youth Group will also take a break but all our services are children friendly. On Sunday 14th August we will be serving breakfast before
the 10.30 service so come along and join us.
If you’re out and about on your bicycle this summer consider joining in with Ride and Stride on Saturday 10th September.

If you can’t make Sunday why not pop in on
a Tuesday morning? Tuesday Communion Services at 9.45am in the chancel of St James Church (except 9th, 16th and 23rd August when we will have a service of Morning Prayer)
Tuesday Together and Saturday Coffee mornings are proving very popular so why not join us between 10am and 12noon, where there is always a good biscuit and chat to be enjoyed.
Praise and Play is a group for pre-school children and their parents or carers. It’s a time to chat, play, make friends, sing songs and hear a Bible story. Monday mornings during term time from 9am-10.30am. Reopens on Sept 12th.
Knitting for beginners on Monday evenings from 6.30-8pm. It’s free, it’s a lot of fun and those teaching have seemingly endless patience. For more details contact Sue on 01832 733717.
JAMES Club is a thriving group for primary age children that meet during the 9.30am service on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays of the month.
Our Youth group for 11+ meets on the
2nd and 3rd Sundays of the month during the service on Sunday mornings too. More details from tdichurches@gmail.com
Join us for prayer on Wednesday evenings in church from 6.45-7.15pm. A time to bring current concerns to the Lord in prayer.

Coffee is available before each service at 10.45am. We look forward to seeing you soon. Church and Village Fete 2nd July Despite rain clouds on the horizon, we took the decision and held the fete in the gardens of Denford House. Apart from two ‘showers’ the afternoon was enjoyed by lots of lovely people, determined
to be British! Entertainment with the Denford Derby, the Infamous Tortoise Game and stalls to buy plants, cakes, jams and books kept us amused for a few hours. Thank you to all the wonderful people who worked so hard and those who came to support!
