                                  Crich Pilgrimage 2014
Soldiers and their families from all four Battalions of The Mercian Regiment attended the annual Crich Pilgrimage
to The Mercian Regiment Memorial at Crich on Sunday 6th July 2014. The Colours of all four Battalions were on parade, and the event was attended by The Lord Lieutenants of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, local dignitaries, cadets, and the wider Regimental Family.
The Crich memorial is dedicated to the soldiers of The Mercian Regiment, The Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters, and The Sherwood Foresters who have been killed in action since the Great War. This year was especially poignant with the centenary of the outbreak of the Great War about to be commemorated at the time of the pilgrimage.
RHQ gives thanks to all of those that assisted with the preparations and event itself, and to all those that attended.
We look forward to seeing you all on the Regiment’s most important hillside on Sunday 5th July 2015.
