Museum Day 2019 saw a couple of changes, as this year proceed- ings were overseen by Lieutenant Colonel Nick Everard having taken over from Captain Christopher Glyn-Jones CBE, and for the first the event was made open to the public. This year the presentations were: the ‘12th Lancers in the Aftermath of WW1’ by Major PA Watson, ‘Remembering some 9th and 12th Lancers of the Great War’ by Captain Colin Hook and Lieutenant Colo- nel Alan Abraham MBE presented his squadron’s tour on ‘Op- eration GRAPPLE 1: Bosnia 1992/93.’ This presentation was of particular interest to the members of the local community from the former-Yugoslavia.
Cavalry Memorial Parade
In the spring the RLOCA and the regiment paraded for the 94th Cavalry Memorial Parade in Hyde Park, which was held on Sun- day, 13th May on what was a cool spring morning. This year our standard bearer was Mr Craig McIntyre, who stood in for Mr Steve McMenamy and the wreath was laid as usual by Mr Dick Ward. The year’s parade was taken by the HRH, the Princess Royal, Princess Anne. As has now become traditional, the water- ing hole the night before was with the Lancers in London, and after the parade most were gathered outside the Audley Arms pub just around the corner from the park. Again, this year (for the third year running) we were supported by Army Cadets from B Squadron, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland (LNR) ACF, they assisted with the handing out of service sheets and veterans who need help in their wheelchairs. We are most

grateful for the on-going support from the commandant, Colo- nel Mick Coleman and the squadron leader, Major Colin Wells and we are indebted to Captain Tim Rayson from Middlesex and North-West London ACF for making it happen.
The Canterbury Reunion
The Canterbury Reunion lunch is the event that has drawn the collective antecedent lancers together from amalgamation and this year we were honoured by the attendance of Mr Len
