THRAPSTON CHARTER FAIR
We hope everyone enjoyed Thrapston Charter Fair this year and have already saved the date for next year - Saturday June 28th 2025.
As you probably, know several long standing committee members are retiring this year. We are very grateful to all those who have worked so hard over many years, and celebrate with them – but the Fair must go on!
Plans for the 2025 Fair are already being made, but we would really appreciate your input and ideas too. Come along to Thrapston Plaza at 7pm on Thursday 12th September for the
Thrapston Charter Fair AGM.
After a few formalities
we will spend time
exploring ideas for the
2025 Charter Fair and will be delighted to listen to your suggestions. Of course, if you’d like to be on the committee too you will be very welcome! Look forward to seeing you and ensuring the future success of Thrapston Charter Fair.

‘SING WITH COLIN SELL’
Renowned BBC Radio 4 pianist on “I’m sorry I haven’t a clue!”
Thrapston Plaza Opera and Friends invite you to perform a new satirical work by Colin Sell entitled “Carmina Comica - An antidote to choral cantatas!” together with half a dozen popular Opera Choruses, on Sunday 3rd November at 4pm in St James Church Thrapston.
There will be just six Tuesday evening rehearsals at 7.30pm starting on 24th September in St James Church Hall, Thrapston.
It is hoped singers will be able to attend the majority of these, noting that Colin himself will be coaching us on 22nd October as well as giving a whimsical talk about his
musical career during the actual concert! For those wondering, the connection with
Colin Sell is through Chris Lowe, founder Headteacher of Prince William School Oundle, who actually taught the young Colin in London in the 1960’s. Chris is the librettist and I’ve had the honour of transcribing Colin’s freehand music scores on computer for publication!
I would be grateful if you can let me know your availability before 8th September. I’m anticipating a Chorus of at least 30 singers so I look forward to an early response.
