PROBUS CLUB
in Oundle
The Probus Club movement was started in 1966. There are now clubs worldwide where retired professional and business people meet to foster friendship, discussion and mutual support. The Probus Club of Oundle was founded in 1985. We are a fellowship organisation that does not undertake
any fundraising for charities and we also have a sister organisation where wives and partners meet monthly to socialise.
On the fourth Tuesday of the month we meet at Oundle Golf Club for a lunch with entertainment in the form of a short talk from a member or guest speaker. On the second Tuesday of

This year, I am the elected President. Many people in Oundle will know me as I was
the Oundle Police Sergeant and founder of Campbell’s Cars. In 2017, when I retired, I was persuaded to join Probus. I was not the sort of person to join clubs apart from sports
relatives and friends. These are always popular and well supported.

outing which have previously included visits to various country houses, RAF Museum Hendon, BMW Mini Car Plant Oxford, RAF Wittering Heritage Centre, performances at the open air Tolethorpe Hall Theatre, Stamford and Silverstone Motor Sport Museum to name just a few.
