2015 has certainly been another successful year for RAPTC Golf. As in previous years our season started at Peters eld GC with a very warm welcome as always from Lt Col (Retd)
B Lillywhite. This xture provides us with a great chance to dust off the cobwebs and proves a great springboard for the start of our season.
This was certainly evident in our rst match when we took on the AGC at Merrist Wood Golf Club. A strong performance all round saw the RAPTC take the honours 3-1 against a good AGC team. Other Military matches throughout the season saw the RAPTC take on the RAC at Tidworth and CAMUS in a development match at Pirbright.
In June the RAPTC golfers gathered in good numbers at St Pierre Golf Club, Chepstow for the second RAPTC Festival of Golf. In total 36 players gathered from both the serving and retired ranks. The two day event is a great event for both Serving and Retired players to meet and still be able to compete against each other with the obligatory post golf banter taking place in the bar.

As usual July saw players from across the Army congregate on Saunton Golf Club, Devon for the Army and Inter Corp Championships. New members of the team for 2015 were Maj Barnett and SSgt Allen. As in the last years Championships a strong performance saw the RAPTC team reach the quarter nal, unfortunately narrowly losing out to the Infantry “A” team.

The innovations of the Gracie family, most notably by grandmasters Carlos and Helio Gracie, and continuing with BJJ ghters today, through constant testing and

BJJ Tour
There are exciting times ahead for the RAPTCI practitioners in summer 2016 with a Cyprus sports tour to train at the prestigious Gracie Barra academy. A full report of this will be in MBS 2017.
