1. Words - Make a list of
words that you identify as the moods and feelings you want your wedding to have.What words make you happy? - Cosy? Elegant? Modern? Vintage? Colourful?
2. Where’s and when’s -
Think about the where’s and when’s, such as time of year and the types of venue that are available.This will affect the overall feel of what you are looking for in your day.
3. Colour and texture - Using points 1 & 2, look for inspiration in colour palettes and textures everywhere; it’s important to explore everything outside of weddings too – inspiration is everywhere.
4. Collect ideas in one place - Tools such as Pinterest are useful in compiling imagery.
5. Filter your ideas - Look at the bigger picture. Do some ideas work better together than others? Remember that this is about gathering ideas and not every detail will be displayed here.
6. Make it yours – Don’t focus too much on what has been done before, your day is all about you, so be as creative as you like!
