ABOUT
Brennan’s Caterworld is Ireland’s longest running Catering supplies business. The
firm of James Brennan & Co. was established in Tuckey Street, Cork in 1872 by James
and Mary Brennan. The business was mainly engaged in the sale of glass, crockery and cutlery to the retail and wholesale trade, consistent with the requirements of the times.
The business was passed on for four generations before the ownership moved hands to Denis Collins. Georgina Leach continues to work with the business, on a part-time basis, maintaining the connection to the original family.
Brennan & Co is now owned and run
by the Collins family and has recently re-branded as ‘Brennan’s Caterworld’. Brennan’s Caterworld has wholesale premises in Cork and Killarney and a retail shop on Oliver Plunkett Street, Cork.
