By seasoning your black iron pan you can create a non stick surface that will require a minimum of care. This will not only make it easier to use but will also protect it from rusting and make it easier to clean.
To do this follow these steps:
1. First of all wash your fry pan with hot soapy water wash away any residual oil the manufacturer has put on it to protect it. 2. Dry the pan with kitchen towel
3. Place the pan it on the hob to heat and put a thin layer of oil on the base.
4. Using some more kitchen town rub the inside of the pan with the oil to coast the surface.
5. Heat the pan to smoking point, then allow to cool before repeating steps 3, 4 & 5 several time.
