For eight months I have been sketching, designing look books, logging shooting locations, digging through Goodwill for new pieces, and getting coffee with my models. I have been obsessed with making this book as perfect as it can be for you. This has been my baby. But I’d be naïve and dead wrong if I thought could have been born without the help of so many.
I’ve been so humbled by the love, ideas, and support I’ve been given through this process. To have armies of girls come to me offering their help and expressing so much passion for the project makes all of this worth it. I will try to thank all of you here, but please know my gratitude for each of you is more than I can express with words.
First, and foremost, thank you to my best friend and my production assistant, Abby. Without your organization and unique taste, this book would have just been a bucket of vomit and glitter. Thanks for reining me in. Without your support and fierce loyalty, I wouldn’t have had the confidence or drive to make it eight months.
To Mom, Dad, Lucy, Nanny and Papaw: Thank you for your bottomless love and support. To have a kid/sister/grand daughter who is an artist is never easy, but you never wavered in believing in me. I’m so lucky to have your trust and expertise to make GLR come alive. Thank you for being my personal cheerleading team, for helping me fund this bitch, and for dealing with my dramatic, manic waves of feelings.
To Amanda, thank you for always having my back and believing in my dreams (often times more than I did). You kept me going.
