   Advanced Leadership Goal Team
Summary and Recommendations
national peer group, prerequisites, age, meeting frequency, cost, structure preference (function, education, peer advisory) and selection (targeting specific people, topics, etc.) We will utilize the findings from recommendation seven above and enroll this target member demographic to help us identify those variables and assist us
in crafting a peer group. We will then consider piloting an MFB peer group in late 2021 or early 2022, in cooperation with an industry or organizational partner.
10. MFB should continue to prioritize and support county level leadership development. While many of our leadership recommendations address state-level programming, we recognize the importance of continued, intentional leadership development at the county level. The aforementioned processes, resources and programming will assist, but will not replace county-focused leadership development. MFB should continue to support programs such as new county FB leadership training, CFB board training, CFB committee and chair training, etc.
11. Continue providing staff resources and support for Community Action Groups (CAGs), implementing the Membership Department’s action plan and better utilizing statewide MFB program areas for topics and resources. While locally hosted and administered, CAGs rely on MFB for organizational support and materials. These groups serve an important role in providing local relationship-based leadership opportunities amongst
a community of agriculture leaders. We encourage involvement and collaboration between our MFB program areas and the Membership Department to weave programmatic information, resources and topics into CAG infrastructure.
