DOMESTIC PARTNER COVERAGE
Domestic partners* (same or opposite sex) may participate in SKECHERS’ medical, dental, and vision plans. In order to enroll a partner and his or her dependent(s) in the above plans, you must:
Have a “Committed Relationship,” as defined below
• Have “Signed a DP Affidavit or Declaration” Or
• Shares your permanent residence;
• Has resided with you for no less than one year;
• Is no less than 18 years of age;
And
Is financially interdependent with you and has proven such with at least two documents of the following
• Common ownership of real property or common leasehold interest in such property;
• Common ownership of motor vehicle;
• A joint bank account or joint credit account;
• Designation as a beneficiary for life insurance or retirement benefits;
• Designation as a beneficiary under yours or your partner’s will;
• Assignment of durable power of attorney;
• Is not a blood relative any closer than would prohibit legal marriage;
In addition, you and your Domestic Partner will be considered to have met the terms of this definition as long as neither you nor your Domestic Partner...
• Has signed a Domestic Partner affidavit or declaration with any other person on within twelve months prior to designating each other as Domestic Partners hereunder;
• Is currently legally married to another person; or
• Has any other Domestic Partner, spouse or spouse equivalent of the
same or opposite sex.
If you elect to enroll your domestic partner as an eligible dependent then you are certifying that your partnership meets the listed criteria above.
If you do not enroll your domestic partner, you will have 30 days from the date you meet the listed criteria above.
*The IRS considers coverage for domestic partners a taxable benefit that must be included in your gross income.
