    Welcome to Your KIPP NYC 2022 Benefits Guide
This benefit guide details your comprehensive benefits program offered by KIPP NYC. Throughout the guide we refer collectively to employing entities as “KIPP.”
Benefits at KIPP do not stop with medical and dental coverage. We offer a wide range of programs and benefits that you can take advantage of during your employment. Our program is designed to help you and your family meet your healthcare and financial needs. We believe by offering programs that address different areas of work and personal life, we continue to work towards becoming an “Employer of Choice” for our talented educators and administrators. Thank you again for your employment with the KIPP team and family.
Detailed information about each of our programs can be found in this guide. The benefit choices you make as a new hire or during Open Enrollment are binding. They will remain in place until the next benefit period, beginning January 1 of the following year, unless you experience a “life status change.” A life status change is a personal change in status which may allow you to change your benefit elections. Examples of life status changes include, but are not limited to:
• Change in legal marital status (addition of a domestic partner does not constitute a life status change)
• Change in number of dependents (birth, adoption)
• Change in employment status (applicable to you and your dependents)
• Child satisfies or ceases to satisfy eligibility requirement.
If you experience such a change and you have written proof of the event (marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc.), you may update your benefit elections within 30 days of the event, provided the benefit change is consistent with the event. No exceptions will be made.
