GoTalk takes a moment to speak with Theresa Matthews, President Voyago in this edition of GoForward. With Technology playing such a big part of daily life today, how will our dependancy on technology impact the business of moving people around? See Theresa’s insight on the Future of Mobility here.
So what does the future look like?
Well for one thing, we’ll be much more techno- logically focused and dependant for certain.
In the future mobility will become more accessible to more people and more customize- able than ever before. Demand will also grow, in fact, we can actually bell curve the peak demand to occur between 2021 - 2035. This is when the highest demand on our infrastructure will take place, fuelled by an ageing population and great- er need to maintain mobility by more people. Fact is, people are living longer, living farther away, and will require or have more access to essential
and recreational services than at any other time in our history. Just when Ontarians stop driving they will need our services most.
Increased demand, people travelling greater distances and with a wider range of service options will require a technological solution. Voyago is already there. We’re currently exploring and devel- oping intuitive, smarter systems designed specific- ally for logistics and route planning optimization, with the ability to link and organize multi-model integration, and deliver significant improvements to speed of service, while providing greater access for all Ontarians.
