Ivan Vladislavic is a writer and editor whose books include The Restless Supermarket, Portrait with Keys, The Exploded View, 101 Detectives and The Distance. He has worked with visual artists and photographers, including David Goldblatt and Joachim Schönfeldt, and written for many others, including Roger Palmer, Terry Kurgan, Jo Ractliffe, Abrie Fourie, Dave Southwood and Mikhael Subotzky. His monograph on Willem Boshoff was published in David Krut’s Taxi Series. TJ/Double Negative,
a joint project with Goldblatt, won the Kraszna-Krausz Award for best photography book in 2011. He is a distinguished professor in creative writing at the University of the Witwatersrand.
