Where: East Kilbride ARC & Wathgill Training CAMP

Who: 153 Rec Coy REME.
What: .

• This weekend training 153 Rec Coy REME, carried out
Speciality to Arm’s (STA) training in East Kilbride ARC and
Wathgill Training Camp.

• Recovery Mechanics and Technical Stores, travelled to
Wathgill Camp where the practised live recovery of broken
down vehicles.
• Vehicle Mechanics conducted live training on the MAN SV 6
tonne lorries by servicing them, also they conducted
maintenance on the WIMMIK Land Rover.

• Armourers worked on the NO5 Fields Kitchen, ensuring that
it was maintained and safe, ready for the next field
deployment,

• Chef’s from 153 Rec Coy REME, assisted by one of our sister
company’s Chef, provided much needed and nutritious
meals throughout the weekend.
• Military Clerks conducted the majority of their training
online , covering the apps that are located within the
Defence Gateway. Other lessons came from a presentation
by the Mobilization Centre in Bassingbourn, highlighting
what Reservists benefits and payments on mobilization.
• Physical Training was delivered by our Battalion Corps PTI,
steaming a live session using the fitness app My zone. A six
mile Army Fitness Test (AFT) was also conducted on the
