  Leading the way in diabetes care
   goes digital
Digibete was developed by parents Maddie and Rob Julian with our paediatric diabetes team and provides an online resource packed with useful information,
advice and support for children and young people with Type 1 Diabetes and their parents.
There are over 30,000 children and young people across the UK with the condition and
it can be tricky to manage: people with the condition have to carefully manage
their diet, exercise regime, sleep, and hydration as well as monitoring their glucose levels and correctly self-administering insulin.
Digibete aims to help with
the common concerns that young people have by offering practical advice and tips including advice on emotional wellbeing and recipes from our specialist dietitian, Frances Hansen.
In April, Digibete secured £50,000 funding through the National Lottery’s People’s Projects which will be used
