Greetings to all the ghouls and goblins out there! Pandemic pandemonium has gripped the world, and we’ve received
a record number of messages from our readers! Below, we’ve publihsed the best Uncanny Opinions from the month of March.
One reader from Palm Beach, Florida thinks the epidemic has been blown out of proportion. On March 9, he wrote,
“So last year 37,000 Americans died from the common Flu. It avergaes between 27,000 and 70,000 per year. Nothing is shut down, life & ceremony go on. At this moment there are 546 confirmed cases of CoronaVirus, with 22 deaths. Think about that!”
A reader in Texas thinks quaratine mea- sures have gone too far, and wants the country to get back on track. “Let’s get back to work,” he says. “Let’s be smart about it. And those of us who are 70 plus, we’ll take care of ourselves. But don’t sacrifice the country!”
A reader in California sent us a series
of letters. The first message read: “The coronavirus panic is dumb.” Their second correspondence: “We should be excited about the future & striving to go beyond the horizon!” And number three: “That said, danger of panic still far exceeds danger of corona imo. If we over-allocate medical resources to corona, it will come at expense of treating other illnesses.” Last week, they signed off with this: “My dog got a haircut and now it looks like he gave up drinking.”
Finally, here’s a reader from Massachu- setts: “The Deep State #FakeScience Establishment ... cares ZERO about the Immune Health of the American People. To them every problem is an infectious disease.”
That’s enough for this month. Remember to write in to @MrSorensen to see your Uncanny Opinion in print!
