The Hotel Nima is truly a home away from home—only with room service and world- class amenities. Beautifully restored in 2016, the mansion housing the hotel dates back to the Porfirian era of Mexico’s history and was built in 1910. The balconies and cantera are original. Porfirian architecture brought a little bit of Parisian elegance to México City, and that is reflected in the French-style home. Each room features exquisite décor, designed to ensure tranquility. Guests do not feel like they are staying at a hotel. Instead, time spent at Hotel Nima is akin to visiting a perfectly appointed luxury home. The four guest rooms, all individually decorated, feature private balconies. While classically chic, the hotel’s interior is also comfortable and cozy. The rooftop garden and sun terraces offer visitors a place to relax and enjoy themselves. Private yoga classes are conducted on the terrace by request. Indoors, guests may relax in the library or living room. The hotel’s professional business center is available any hour of the day or night.

Considered the hippest neighborhood in the capital, Roma Norte is definitely the place to be when visiting México City. As with Hotel Nima, most of Roma Norte’s elegant buildings were constructed more than a century ago. The area is full of statuary and monuments, such as Fuente de las Cibeles. In 2011, the city designated Roma Norte a “Magical Barrio”—a “magical neighborhood”—and visitors quickly sense how apropos is the appellation.
Major attractions are within walking distance, or no more than two miles away. These landmarks include the Museum of Fine Arts, the San Juan Market, the Metropolitan Cathedral of México City, and the Museo Casa de Carranza. The U.S. Embassy is nearby, as is the Forest of Chapultepec, one of the world’s largest urban parks.
