New Years Resolutions
Beacon Photographic Club: If you’re interested in taking up photography in 2022, check out Beacon Photography Club! Based in Skelmersdale, this team of friendly people always welcomes new members and has regular meetups and events in the surrounding areas, where you can get some great photo opportunities.
Erooms: Looking to learn an instrument? You may know the Erooms as Skelmersdale’s music venue, bar, and cafe, but they also offer music tuition! Their tutors have many years of musical experience and will surely help you make any instrument sing. In addition, they provide lessons in guitar, piano, bass, drums, and even vocals! Learning programmes are tailored to each individual.
Birchwood Social Inclusion Team: The Birchwood offers a vast array of FREE classes and sessions with the means to promote social inclusion and wellbeing, but also to help you learn something new at zero cost. If you want to start a new hobby, they are a great place to look! Yoga, meditation, flower arranging, art, cooking, tribal dancing, and group walking sessions.
Skelmersdale Writers Group: If you are interested in creative writing, why not join Skelmersdale’s Writers group? They have regular meetings with tea and biscuits when possible, or online meets when it’s not. Showcase your writing and receive constructive feedback from like-minded people. In addition, members can collaborate on anthologies, so if you’re a passionate writer, there’s even a chance for you to get published!
Skelmersdale Cricket Club: If you’re looking to get more active, then the Skelmersdale Cricket Club might be up your street! With regular matches and competitions, new players are always welcome here. They have a wide variety of teams; men, women, seniors, and juniors can all get involved. The facilities are high quality, and it is a family-friendly environment so that everyone can have a go!

Skelmersdale Story Project: Weekly meetups in Shakespeare’s Coffe Shop, Upholland, to discuss short stories over Coffee and Cake - FREE to attend, just turn up.
Pimbo Bike Park: Meet like-minded people at the Pimbo Bike Park. Open Weds-Sunday, 10- 6pm inc. Bank holidays. The bike park has XC tracks, trails, jumps, tables, gaps, and berms for all! Find them on Facebook @Pimbo Bike Park.
