Redwood Community Services has been providing youth residential services since 2006.
These Short Term Residential Therapeutic Programs (STRTP) programs serve foster
youth in need of a higher level of care than a family setting provides. Each program
2020 Board of Directors
provides 24-hour staff supervision and trauma informed care in a home-like atmosphere integrating youth into public schools and community activities whenever possible. The ultimate goal of our integrated group living programs is to empower youth and their families to have a voice and choice in their Plan of Care to decrease barrier behaviors so they may transition to family, a resource family or transitional programs such as Stepping Stones.

"One of our 2020 success stories is about a youth that came to us with the plan to reunify with family. The family had numerous obstacles including no reliable transportation, furniture or home. The parent was just back on their feet and had the drive but needed a little extra help. We helped them get new tires for their car, furniture for their home and transported this youth for visits offsite. As a team we were able to provide this family with the necessities to help them reunify. With a little help this family was able to be together and is a continued success. This is why I do this work."
