on the conveyor belt Then the elevator sealed
me like an envelope At dinner, my partner
poured the bottle
of wine I pointed to,
which also helped Pulling open
the can of wet food was conversation
enough for the cat If I could tell her,
my mother might
be most impressed—
So, all that practice finally paid off, huh
How like a god, they will say
of it—useless, and everlasting
