“My personal take on a 'handmade book.'
I began to study and photograph hands in order to develop ideas to create something that could be interactive with the viewer. This handmade book allows viewers to look, feel, and admire its contents.”
The book comprises found paraphernalia such as drawings, old diary pages ranging from the ‘40s–’90s, and handwrit- ten letters from the ‘30s. Digital photographs were printed on handmade Japanese rice paper. The prints were then glued to textured watercolor paper and folded to create two separate accordion booklets to t inside an 8'' x 8'' box.
