“The imagery in my work arises from a combination of free association and
conscious control. My work begins by scribbling on the surface to create a tangle of seemingly random lines. From this ‘mess,’ I allow my intuition to pull shapes and forms which I nd simultaneously mysterious and compelling. I hone these images with successive layers of color, line, shape, and form until I feel that, while not ‘ n- ished,’ the time has come to stop working on it and allow it to be what it is.”
