Snyder was born in Geneva, NY, and has been painting since 2000. Since she was little, glitter and DIY perfume kits paved the way for a serious love affair with darkroom photography. At Temple Univer- sity, in Philadelphia, PA, where she earned her BA in Art, she immersed herself in every aspect of the process. Eventually her darkroom obsession transitioned into abstract acrylic painting, after learning she could have a similar conversation in a different medium. In the United States, she has had exhibitions on both coasts, and her work is displayed in both private and permanent collections. She remains as dedicat- ed to "putting her guts on the paper" today as when first prompted by her primary art teachers to stay true to the honest emotional content of her work.
