In these spaces these sculptures act as counterparts to the human body, both as bodily forms in their own right and comfort objects that are easy to hold or fit one’s own body around. Stretching between everyday life in the human world and a surreal animated planet, her forms cross boundaries in search of common ground.
All scuptures of the Friends of Mine series are constructed from chicken wire, burlap, plaster, plaster gauze, and acrylic paint.
