“It is very interesting to see how I can produce different pictures from one printmaking plate, depending on various inking and printing processes. This is similar to life—how I can encounter struggles, yet react and overcome them in different ways. I have been creating mostly variable editions of my prints instead of printing the exact same image for a whole edition. Variable edi- tions allow me to express my complicated feelings, equally var- ied, depending on the nature of life problems I may encounter.”
