“In my works, I use
mirrors as substrate,
allowing the observer to become part of the art, bridging the ‘internal’ and the ‘external.’ As the work itself changes with the light and different perspectives, so does the observer change through the different textures and transparencies. And the person observing the art stands at the center of my works, becoming part of it. Art is not independent of the people observing it.
The painted abstract and geomet- rical shapes are universals; the movement of the shapes give rise to ideas about interconnectedness and non-linear movements. They invite the thought process to turn inwards, allowing for a subjective interpretation influenced by each person’s unique perception and experience.”
