“My drawings are based on the recognition of and
pride in my Asian identity.
They also address the conflict between my real life and an illusional world, as well as my point of view on life and death; value and self cognition; losing my self and find- ing it back. Every drawing is a process of quarreling with myself—I may be creating a world without logic, but it is an ordered one, where I have an opportunity to feel safe in facing up to myself.”
