“My work explores the interplay
between standing apart from the world and being lost within its untidiness. Half- hidden by the natural world, it is unclear whether I am stepping out of the foli- age and into my own space, or fading back into it. The use of the nature reflects something that we can never be part of yet can never be fully separate from. Our uncertain relationship to it keeps me in limbo between two worlds—two ideas of who I am. These natural elements become metaphors for the obstacles around which I cannot navigate for fear of the wreckage that I might cause.”
