Colorado-based artist Lex Lucius
finds his muse in horses.

Near his home in the Roaring Fork Valley is a field and a stable of warmblood horses that have become his source of artistic inspiration. The muscled bodies, the strength and determination when
in motion, and their calmness captivate him. Lucius seeks to invoke the feelings he gets from these animals and impart comfort and connection to the viewer. He is currently working in acrylic, ink, and gesso on wood panels.
