Doggerland Installation
“The images are of models exhibited in Taiwan. The idea of uncertainty of function is one concept behind these models, which draw on the struc- tures around Taoyuan Airport, and on childhood memories of similar industrial landscapes around Speke Airport, Liverpool. The models are not di- rect illustration of specific structures; they begin with a function—an observation tower or a fac- tory—and this is then built as a ruin, abandoned for an unspecified reason. In the exhibition each model is isolated on a separate grey table under a single light.”
