Monaghan holds an MA in Fine Art from Aberystwyth University, UK. As a trained illustrator he worked for many years producing technical and architectural drawings. Techniques learned as an illustrator are now evident in his paintings. He presently works from a studio in the Old College on Ab- erystwyth’s seafront, Wales, UK.
