Weng is a practicing artist working primarily with contemporary photography and new media art. In an artistic practice spanning over thirty years, his research interests include modern painting, digital fine art, and experimental anima- tion. As an artist and academic, his research into digital art, experimental animation, and contem- porary photography has enabled him to partici- pate in numerous exhibitions and receive many awards. In 2021, the Contemporary Art Curator Magazine awarded him the “Power of Creativity | Art Prize,” the highest mark of creative excellence and recognition of outstanding achievement in innovation and creativity. His works have been ex- hibited internationally, and also have been widely collected by galleries, museums, and institutions around the world. Weng is an Associate Professor at College of Communications, Chinese Culture University in Taipei, and one of the representative artists for YellowKorner (YK) Galleries based in Paris and other major cities worldwide.
