Barragão’s fiber-art techniques
are based on ancestral textile
The Botanical Tapestry is an installation at Heathrow Airport, UK. Made of jute, cotton, and recycled wool, it took more than 520 hours to weave.This art piece represents the world map, with the colors of all the continents and oceans, as well as of endangered plants and species of coral reefs.
