Working digitally, Platanas edits his photo- graphs primarily in Lightroom. In his series Erebus, he explores various effects of metallic and wall surfaces: “I seek to capture the deepness within them.” The Solaris series originated on a trip to Florence, Italy, and was widely in uenced by the works of Andrei Tarkovsky.
