Stewart’s work continues to be exhibited in both group and solo shows, including at the Contemporary Art Mu- seum in Raleigh, NC. He is the recipient of numerous grants and awards, including the United Arts Council Emerging Artist Grant. His paintings reflect his decades-long evolution from rural North Carolina to cities along the eastern sea- board. Stewart studied at Lenoir Community College and the Savannah College of Art and Design and has held studios in Georgia, Florida and at present, in Raleigh.
