Meier’s montages are created entirely from her own images. While some demand montaging in Pho- toshop, she prefers to work
“in camera,” to photograph a physical setup on location: “I could change colors in Pho- toshop but there’s a balance I try to achieve between what is real and what is ction to make these images compelling. And there really is no substitute for beautiful light.”
