tives. I have used these old negatives and recreated a false historical narrative with them. Then I have sewn and embroidered the prints onto antique cloth-lace doilies. Next, I embellished each piece with an as- sortment of beads, threads, and small trin- kets such as Milagros. In order to continue the historical narrative, I have embroidered altered nursery rhymes on and around each of the works that further interact with the images and create another layer that inter- acts with the historical print.”
