DeProspo is a painter, ceramic
artist, and assembler of
things. Her paintings are strongly influenced by nature, which translates visually in minimal- ist, abstract fashion. Coming from a three- dimensional background, her approach to painting is purely intuitive and her tools are oils, wax, and pallet knife. Captivated by its ever-changing rhythms, and particularly by the elusive quality of fog, the sea is a repeti- tive subject in her work. Her work is rich in subtle, meticulous color blending, with the addition of a wax medium to create depth of form and color, and infused with an ethereal, moody overtone that draws the viewer into the work and stay a while.
