Bennett graduated from Boston University in 1975 with a BFA and re- ceived her MFA in 1985 from University of Pennsylvania. She has been living and showing her work in the Philadelphia area for many years but has expanded her area with shows in New York, Arizona, Vermont, and Colorado. The horse imagery that dominates her work has been inspired both by grow- ing up among them and by drawing, watching, and riding them on her family ranch in the southern Arizona desert. She splits her time between Philadel- phia, Arizona, and Vermont, each place having a unique way of informing and enlarging her art of the horses or the landscapes.
