“When we think about the first toys that we played with
as children, we think of the pure shapes and vibrant colors that cap- tured our attention. We used these toys
to explore shape, texture and color, creat- ing our first sculptures and incorporating all of the aspects of artistic composition, without the encumbrances of knowing what is “good” or “bad” about art. I love getting back to those basics, revisiting some of the joys of childhood and explo- ration, and merging aspects of abstract and representational painting.”
