CEO LETTER: EXPANDING BUT TRUE TO OUR ROOTS
The private aircraft charter industry is still relatively young. It had its very first taste of success in the 1940s after World War II, but it really didn’t come to much of anything until the 1960s.
Then, in the 1990s, everything changed. The modern charter business owes nearly all its logistical complexity and wonder to connectivity and the internet, putting its true origins at only about 30 years ago. That means that modern charter operators, as an industry group, have in fact only been figuring out what they are and what they want to be for three decades.

Instead, this letter is an excuse for me to tell you about what Elite Air is and how we do business. In an industry that still operates something along the lines of the Wild West, Elite Air is committed to consistent, transpar- ent, civilized operations. That means our own- ers, direct-to-consumer charter customers, and charter brokers know what they will get from us every time they go up: Clear communica- tion, above-board pricing, an impeccable safe- ty record, and a 100% focus on their needs.
Elite Air has grown a lot in the last several decades, and we couldn’t do what we do now with a land line and an atlas. But even as we

No, this letter isn’t an excuse for me to tell you about the way we used to organize our flights when we started doing air ambulance in the 1990s. (Hint: Before the in- ternet, pretty much the most sophisticated tools we had in dispatch were telephones and maps with pins in them.)
cruise up to and right through 26 managed aircraft, we have stayed true to our roots. And fortunately, you don’t have to take my word for it. Our customers are happy to do the talking for us. Hi Tom, Alex, Charlene, and Elite team. Just a quick note of thanks for the great trip this week.
Communications were on point regarding aircraft status, weather, etc. Additionally, the crew was on time (and were at MBS airport much earlier than I expected!).
In today’s age of floating fleets and operators without a lot of experience, it’s nice to work with a solid operator like Elite. That’s all for now. We’ll be back in touch on the next opportunity.
