Minister’s Wives
In a supportive role to their husbands”
Sis. Mary P. Hammonds, President
NEPBSCA Inc. Minister’s Wife President
Minister wives should support their husbands in the manner in which GOD has designed. The wives must first understand the divine calling upon their lives. We were created specifically to be our husband’s helper, Genesis 2:18 “And the LORD GOD said, it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him.” Therefore, the wife recognizes the calling upon her life to take care of GOD’s vessel. Secondly, the wife in support of her husband should have godly character and moral strength that can only come from their personal rela?onship with the Lord. Only when the wife fears the LORD, has a close fellowship with HIM; she can go to HIM and receive HIS strength and virtue in the midst of the struggles her husband goes through being a man of GOD and a Pastor. Thirdly, the wife should be submissive to their own husbands. She must recognize that her husband is also her pastor. She must submit to his leadership at home and in the church. The Ministers wife should be an example to the congrega?on of a good woman and a godly wife. This is what we teach in the New Era Progressive Bap?st State Conven?on of Alabama Ministers Wives and Widows Auxiliary.
