FDCC PILLARS
MCC partners with FDCC
Committees, Substantive Law
Sections, sponsors and individual
members to inspire and assist
members to create single podcasts
or a series, that are then published
on the FDCC’s Podcast Channel
“FDCC Speaks.”
FDCC podcasts are creative,
innovative and informative. They
include event promotions, relevant,
substantive information, interviews
with thought leaders and experts
from our industry, and human
interest stories that inspire and
bring a real sense of the richness of
the FDCC community.
A sampling of the FDCC Speaks
podcast library includes:
•
a partner podcast with our
sponsor J.S. Held on tariffs,
•
member ideas on how busy
lawyers manage extra activities,
•
use of AI in practice,
•
a series of conversations with
FDCC athletes,
•
•
the Employment Practices
Section’s “True Employment
Tales” series where long
experienced FDCC
employment defense
practitioners shared tales of
their adventures in employment
law defense where “you can’t
make this up” and “brave new
world” are accurate descriptors,
Mark Fahleson shared his
discovery that a terminated
employee had been setting up
overseas shell corporations for
the CIA and the lessons learned
from his sabbatical including
“don’t be defined by your
job.” Jean Faure recounted her
experience in a trial involving
revealing elf costumes, the
wisdom of “look at losses as
a learning experience” and
“there is no substitute for
preparedness.”
To date, over 300 podcast episodes
have already been recorded
and downloaded by over 16,200
unique listeners. You can find
the “FedSpeaks” podcasts on
Apple iTunes, Spotify, Stitcher, or
wherever you get your podcasts. 258
downloads took place in January,
alone.
Podcasts are just one way we
learn more about each other and
opportunities, gain knowledge, and
connect and engage. MCC is also
in the process of partnering with
substantive sections on webinars
and Zoom roundtables. Stay
tuned for more information on this
exciting project!
Hosting a Podcast is simple—all you
need is a computer and an internet
connection. If you’re interested in

for a webinar or Zoom roundtable,
please contact me, MCC Co-Chair
