The FDCC has negotiated a room rate of $329.00 CAD per night (which, as of 4/12/2024, is approximately $239 US), plus 13%
Harmonized Sales Tax and 6% Municipal Accommodation Tax. Also, each third/fourth adult sharing a room will be charged
an additional $30 CAD per night. There will be no charge for children up to and including the age 18 years who share with their
parents.
After you register, you will receive a link with which you can reserve a room in our room block. You must register for the Annual
Meeting before you can book a room within our room block.
Check-in time is 4:00 PM and check-out time is 12:00 noon. In the event you arrive early or need to depart later, the valet will be
happy to check your luggage at the hotel bell stand.
Royal York offers valet parking located at the hotel’s east entrance for $59 CAD per night. Nearby parking alternatives are
recommended at 79 Wellington Street, 66 Wellington Street, or 30 Bay Street. The hotel also offers electric car charging facilities.
The Royal York’s bars and restaurants will close at midnight.
Getting To Toronto
By Plane
The Fairmont Royal York is easily accessible from both Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport
(YTZ) and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). YTZ is approximately 10
minutes from the Royal York and there is a complimentary shuttle bus that runs between
the airport and the hotel every 15 minutes. YYZ is approximately 25 minutes from the
Royal York.
Avoid traffic snarls and take the easy way, the “Train to Downtown.” The Union Pearson
Express (Up Express) connects the YYZ to Union Station which is directly across from
Royal York’s doorstep. As of 3/14/2024, Up Express tickets cost less than 12.50 CAD and
can be bought online or at stationed kiosks. The Up Express departs every 30 minutes.
You may also want to use Ride Share services such as Uber, Lyft, or taxis to get to the
hotel from your airport.
By Driving
Most of New England, the Eastern Midwest, and the Mid-Atlantic members may find a
less than 8-hour drive preferrable to flying. Many will choose the Buffalo/Niagara Falls
ports of entry, but some may find Detroit/Windsor easier from more westerly areas,
cutting across Ontario north of Lake Erie.
