a profession. It is essential for finding happiness and success to practice in the areas of law that one is passionate about and dedicated to.”
Dan and wife Chris have enjoyed a 30 year romance together.
Dan and Chris were both single parents with custody of young children when they met and melded their families together over a long courtship and engagement. Dan is a dedicated and loving father to daughter Kerrie, son Jacob and Chris’s daughters Lianna and Lorraine, and grandfather to Philip and Logan.
Recreation and relaxation for
Dan is treasured time with spent with family and close friends at Dan and Chris’s home on the shores of Lake Erie. Chris grew
up in Buffalo and spent many memorable summers on the shore of Lake Erie. Dan and Chris while engaged decided to buy
a home on Lake Erie’s Crescent Beach which they subsequently dubbed “Crescent Dreams” and“LandoftheBlueMartini.” Dan and Chris were unable
to visit their home during the Pandemic due to restrictions on travel to and from Canada and look forward to spending this summer and fall with their friends once again on Lake Erie. Dan is an avid reader and student of American history and particularly the American Presidents and
loves to engage in conversation about the fascinating acts and omissions of our leaders and their contributions to our democracy.
Federation colleagues describe Dan as a lawyer’s lawyer, the complete attorney, the ultimate counselor and teacher. They speak of his loyalty, wisdom, kindness, humility, warm heart and the many times he has helped to advance the careers of others. We know as Dan’s friends that among his many gifts are remarkable leadership skills
and the ability to bring people together in a common cause.
This is why the Federation was honored and pleased to recognize Dan’s outstanding career with
its Lifetime Achievement Award which has a simple yet eloquent inscription:
“For exemplary service to the Federation and the legal profession
Presented the 9th Day of March, 2022 Desert Palms, California”
Suffice it to say, Dan has become one of those giants in our profession and now openly offers his shoulders to support not
