The remainder of the book is a series of exercises you can do with your attorneys to teach them deposition skills. Each Exercise below is divided into three parts:
EXPLANATION
The exercise begins with an explanation of what skill you’re teaching and its importance
and relevance. I provide brief explanations that provide a general overview. You can elaborate and augment on this explanation as you wish.
EXERCISE
The heart of each exercise is the exercise itself. The exercise will be explained and sufficient detail will be provided for you lead the exercise. As with the explanation, feel free to adapt the exercise to your needs.
LESSONS LEARNED
After the exercise, you will lead a post mortem discussion addressing what the participants learned from the exercise and how they can apply it. This section will provide some “lessons learned” and pose some questions to facilitate discussion.
