Handling Manipulation
Sometimes an attorney will try to manipulate you, a witness or the court reporter. They try anything at their disposal to stop their witness from saying something damaging. Be prepared to respond appropriately.
EXPLANATION
Participants learn how to deal with manipulative opposing counsel in depositions.
EXERCISE
Have a discussion about the various ways an attorney can try to manipulate a witness or a deposition and address how best to address this type of behavior.
