stronger.

backgrounds and walks of life
comprise our long-established

them
better.

Technology, globalization, and
a host of other factors have
fractionalized and multiplied
the problems we and our clients
face. Different opinions, views,
and perspectives better address
these challenges.

Our stories are diverse
Our nation is one of the most
diverse in the world. Everyone
has a story. Sharing them
enriches us all.

The future is diverse
Trend lines are showing we as
a country are growing more
diverse, not less. We should
embrace this, not shun it.
We are lawyers, and as such, our
professional responsibility extends
beyond simply serving our clients
and includes serving the profession,
the bar, and our communities. That
service includes
making
every person – every lawyer, every
judge, every juror – anyone that this
profession touches – feel welcome
and part of the process. And many
of these individuals are diverse. We
took an oath to be the best lawyers
we can be. That oath demands
we treat everyone, irrespective of
creed or belief, race or nationality,
background or origin, sexual
orientation or identity, with the
respect, concern, and care they
deserve. Diversity means standing
up for what’s right and doing and
saying the things required of us
as privileged members of this
profession.
